Automated inspection installed at Scholl
A Checker vision system was installed by Scholl to automatically inspect every pack of medicated pads manufactured and automatically eject any rejects.
CMB has a vision for inspection
The Checker vision inspection system from Image Industries is increasingly employed by CMB in Poole to ensure that no defective parts are delivered to the customer
Already installed by many leading drinks and bottling plants the system is able to check for many possible defects such as incorrect fill height, empty bottle and water ingress, misplaced, or missing labels, cocked of missing caps and faulty tamper evidence seals.
Over 1000 parts per minute can be examined with 100% accuracy by the system.
When a fault is identified the defective bottle can be automatically ejected from the production line, either from star wheels or continuous conveyors.
Bottle Checker is capable of inspecting all kinds of bottles and can be incorporated into any production line.
Being designed to operate reliably in a factory environment, the unit is fully enclosed in a waterproof, tamperproof, stainless steel housing (IP67 rated).
Because the system is so simple to configure, Image Industries offer on site demonstrations to potential customers, where the actual bottles can be inspected under realistic conditions.
By utilising the Bottle Checker, scrap is reduced by identifying production problems as soon as they occur.
Customer returns can therefore be eliminated, enabling the quality reputation of the manufacturer to be enhanced.
Throughout the bottling process, from filling and capping through to labelling and packaging, product quality can be controlled and production costs kept down.
