control
The latest version of the ETIX system controls a range of coding and marking devices, barcode readers, checkweighers and other on-line devices to provide complete unit traceability
The latest version of the ETIX system controls a range of coding and marking devices, barcode readers, checkweighers and other on-line devices to provide complete unit traceability and total information integrity across a single line, multiple line, and multi-site multiple line production units With the growing number of devices on the production line, there is a need to ensure that data input to each device is both consistent and error free

Ink jet printers for product marking
The Imaje S7 range of deviated ink jet printers provide cost effective coding and marking for a wide range of applications in low and high volume production environments.
In many production units, manual data input to each individual device at product change-over is time consuming and prone to error.
The ETIX system, from Imaje, automatically downloads the appropriate data from a central database to each device saving operator time and eliminating manual data entry errors.
The system interfaces with and programs a wide range of devices, including coders, print and apply labellers, thermal printers, checkweighers, leaflet inserters and other on-line devices from most manufacturers.

The new, environmentally friendly Imaje S8 printers are described as 'all terrain' because they can print on virtually any surface.
Data is drawn from a variety of sources such as a production database or ERP system over an Ethernet network.
The Etix system has a modular structure that allows easy configuration to match the needs of single line, multi-line and multi-line, multi-site applications with an economical up-grade path to accommodate changes in the production structure at any time in the future.
Developed over eleven years, Etix has been constantly up-dated and expanded in response to changes in international product identification standards and hardware capability.
The system may be configured to suit any production designation, EAN barcode and packaging type.
The standard reports provide common manufacturing and shipping management reports whilst the built-in report generator allows user defined reports to be produced easily and quickly.
All data is archived by the system to provide complete product and shipping traceability right down to unit level.
All configurations guide the operator through line set-up via a Windows user interface using simple to understand pop-up menus.
The operator scanning a sample product bar code or selecting options on the terminal display selects the basic line set-up.
With both methods, the system detects any non-conformity and prevents further progress until the error has been corrected.
Each dedicated line terminal holds a constantly up-dated copy of the works order database to ensure that production information is always referenced to the correct line and that production can continue in the event of a central server or network failure.
The Etix system requires minimum manual data input to ensure a quicker and more reliable line set-up and provides full current and historical unit traceability throughout the manufacturing and logistic chain.
