Imaje MCP ink jet printers have been designed to print high quality logistics data on porous substrates, as used for outer cases, with a resolution of up to 188 dpi.

Two new MCP ink jet printers from Imaje have been designed specifically for printing easy to read logistics information on outer cases with print height of between 10 and 48 mm at a resolution of 188 dpi at up to 180 m/min.

The MCP, for printing alphanumeric data, offers a choice of ether a 6 x 32 or an 11 x 32 nozzle printhead providing up to five lines of print.

The MCP Barcode has been optimised for printing easy to scan barcodes using the 11 x 32 nozzle printhead and an oil based, pigmented ink formulated to provide the good edge definition, high contrast and IR readability required for fast, reliable scanning of all types of barcodes, especially EAN 128.

Both models have a user-friendly keyboard with two line, scrolling LCD display to set-up the message to be printed, including text, date, custom dates, 3 post dates, week number, time, shift codes, automatic numbering and logos in normal, expanded or 'chimney' characters, in addition to barcodes.

The time of date change is settable and the character height can set from 5 to 32 dots, 10 to 48 mm.

The machine memory can hold 350 messages, of up to 36 characters each, which can be selected from the keyboard.

The operator/machine interface is available in most European languages and a single keyboard can monitor and control several printers.

An RS232 interface is provided to allow networking with a central production control or ERP computer system.

Coding may be to the top, side or bottom of the case to suit virtually all packing line configurations.

The Imaje MCP, a robust, modular coder designed for high reliability and easy maintenance in high volume production applications, can be used freestanding or integrated into a packing line.

Set-up is exceptionally quick and simple at product changeover.

As only a mains electrical supply is required, compressed air is not needed; the coder can be moved easily between locations as required.

A low ink level alarm is fitted and the oil based pigmented ink, formulated specifically for high quality printing on porous materials, is supplied in easy and clean to change, sealed bottles.

The Imaje MCP and MCP Barcode inkjet coders provide consistent, high quality logistics coding for cases of all sizes at speeds to match modern packing lines.
