The ImpactXoft "Need SPeeD" reseller channel programme is open to qualified VARs that serve the major mechanical computer-aided design and collaborative solutions markets.

The ImpactXoft "Need SPeeD" reseller channel programme is open to qualified VARs that serve the major mechanical computer-aided design and collaborative solutions markets, including consumer goods and electronics manufacturers as well as automotive and aerospace suppliers.

"Our IX SPeeD V5 Suite is the only collaborative design solution natively interoperable with Dassault Systemes' V5 PLM solutions, in particular Catia V5.

Given this unique synergy, resellers have an ideal opportunity to expand their presence by providing a set of mid range products into a new market segment by offering a one-of-a-kind solution, which will complement their existing product offerings", said Stefano Malnati, Vice President of Product Management and Business Development at ImpactXoft.

"In fact, although IX SPeeD V5 will have a broad market appeal, resellers will find it particularly well suited to address the needs of small to medium sized companies that are suppliers to corporations using Catia V5".

The reseller programme launch follows ImpactXoft's announcement last month that the company has joined Dassault Systemes' CAA V5 Software Community Programme as a Gold Software Partner.

Under this agreement, ImpactXoft will deliver a new version of its award-winning IX SPeeD Suite software for Simultaneous Product Development featuring unique modelling and collaborative design capabilities.

The IX SPeeD V5 product, based on Dassault Systemes' Component Application Architecture (CAA V5), will be the only collaborative product completely interoperable with Catia V5 and it will also provide a full breath of integrated addon modules to support the product development lifecycle.

"ImpactXoft addresses the needs of manufacturing designers who are under constant pressure to innovate, respond quickly to engineering change requests, and keep costs down", said David Burdick, President of Collaborative Visions, a strategic consulting firm supporting users and vendors in the emerging area of product lifecycle management.

"The ability for resellers to offer a fully integrated manufacturing design package that includes PLM and functional modelling capabilities is increasingly appealing as manufacturers look to leverage their existing CAD/CAM implementations".
