Available now from ImpactXoft is the latest version of its IX SPeeD Suite The IX SPeeD Suite functional modelling and collaborative design capabilities allow product developers to rapidly create designs that are easily understood and provide the ability to apply and communicate design changes with others during the highly iterative work in progress phase

The IX SPeeD V5 Suite is based on Dassault Systemes' Component Application Architecture (CAA V5), making it the natively interoperable and collaborative solution for the CAA V5 ecosystem, including Catia V5.

This new product suite includes addon modules for specialised design requirements to address an extended product development cycle.

IX SPeeD V5 Suite will be available through a rapidly growing ImpactXoft reseller channel.

With IX SPeeD V5, companies in consumer goods, electronics and electrical (E and E) can take advantage of the power and flexibility of ImpactXoft's functional design approach.

Additionally, IX SPeeD V5 will also provide a unique solution for companies that require a native connectivity with the Dassault Systemes' V5 PLM offering, for example the supply chain for the automotive and aerospace industries.

This power and flexibility is derived from ImpactXoft's innovative method of capturing the design behaviour as functional features.

This makes it easier to create, interpret, edit and reuse designs across the extended enterprise.

ImpactXoft and Dassault Systemes are also working together to incorporate ImpactXoft's instant participation features for collaborative design within the CAA V5 environment.

Instant participation's collaborative capabilities allow OEMs and suppliers to not only communicate design changes, but to also share and merge elements of their product designs at anytime, from anywhere, and with anyone working on the project.

The first set of IX SPeeD V5 products to be introduced includes ImpactXoft's IX Design V5 - a complete 3D design tool focused on functional modelling and providing capability for surface and wire-frame, assembly design, sketcher, drafting, and translators - as well as addon modules for specialised design and analysis tasks.

These modules will enable customers to provide their users with a full range of product development tools within a collaborative environment.

Addon modules available with this release include solutions for: structural analysis, healing, NC manufacturing review and prismatic machining, real time rendering, sheet-metal design, Step interface and rapid prototyping.

IX Connect V5 will complete the suite later this year, providing the capability to share and merge design changes using the instant participation paradigm ImpactXoft has been recognised for, delivering what is required for a complete collaborative and functional design solution.
