ImpactXoft will debut IX Style, its first solution for industrial designers, at the Industrial Designers Society of America (IDSA) national conference in Pasadena, California.

Conference delegates are invited to join ImpactXoft for a complimentary breakfast on Friday 29th October, at 0800 in the Fountain Ballroom of the Westin hotel.

Company experts will demonstrate the unique styling and modelling capabilities of the newly released product and how easily designers can create imaginative products while interfacing with professionals in other disciplines using the products in the IX SPeeD Suite.

As part of the IX SPeeD Suite, IX Style is specialised to meet the needs of industrial designers exploring ideas and developing products for the electronics and electrical (E and E) and consumer goods markets.

It features an integrated package of freeform styling tools and 3D modelling tools to help product designers transform their creative concepts into production-ready designs.

IX Style features the a number of specialised toolsets.

Tracer helps artists use their 2D artwork (digital or paper) in a 3D modelling environment.

Envision and Shape affords designers the flexibility to use their imagination and freely transform creative concepts into viable 3D designs.

Advanced Surface Modelling combines G2 subdivision surface precision with fluid, aesthetic shape design.

The IX Healing Assistant performs surface analysis and repair.

And Rendering produces sophisticated, high quality visuals Along with the powerful styling-focused toolsets, IX Style also provides the full-fledged 3D modelling capability of the IX Design solution for product engineering, including toolsets for functional design, sketching, surfacing, assembly design, drafting, generative drawing, materials and data exchange.

Due to the collaborative architecture of the IX SPeeD Suite solutions, designers can also take advantage of a simultaneous product development (SPD) environment to productively work in parallel with other disciplines including product engineering, mould and tooling design, and tool manufacturing.

"We are extremely excited to introduce IX Style to the industrial design community", said Attilio Rimoldi, ImpactXoft President and CEO.

"Not only does this new solution provide designers the flexibility to utilise their artistic talents while exploring product ideas and prototypes, it also gives them a better way to work in parallel with professionals in other disciplines to streamline the entire product development process and bring creativity into the forefront".
