Modelling solution unbundled on website
IX Design, the 3D modelling solution from ImpactXoft Corp, can now be purchased and downloaded online from the company's website.
In an industry where major technology breakthroughs are few and far between, the Editors agreed that the IX SPeeD Suite represented an exciting new approach to solving product design and development problems by introducing technology that not only dramatically improves the way that products are designed, but also enables development teams to collaborate in a way that has never before been realised.
CAD CAM's technical audience in mechanical engineering, automotive manufacturing, metalworking, plastics and electronics has much to benefit from the patented technologies in the IX SPeeD Suite of products.
The IX functional modelling technology enables a flexible, history-free approach to product engineering while the collaborative technology for simultaneous product development enables teams to work on the same design in parallel and dramatically collapse development time and process bottlenecks.

Second award for modelling software
IX SPeeD Suite from ImpactXoft has been selected as a winner of the July 2002 Editors' Choice Award from Cadence magazine.
"CAD CAM Magazine has a reputation for delivering significant education and insights on industry trends and cutting edge technologies", said Attilio Rimoldi, President and CEO at ImpactXoft.
"We are deeply appreciative that the editorial board has recognised our achievement in developing technologies for functional modelling and simultaneous product development".
"The magazine is providing its readership a valuable service by introducing them to our IX SPeeD Suite of products which can greatly impact and improve the way that products are developed, from the concept phase through to manufacturing".
The IX SPeeD Suite is a powerful design environment for simultaneous product development (SPD) that features industry solutions specialised to meet the needs of vertical disciplines that develop products for the electronics and electrical (E and E) and consumer goods markets.
All products in the suite feature functional modelling and collaborative design capabilities that help drive a more flexible, productive, and innovative product development process.
The product suite ensures that colocated as well as globally dispersed teams of professionals - spanning critical roles such as industrial design, product engineering, mould and tooling design and NC manufacturing - can take advantage of highly specialised toolsets while working in parallel to develop market-competitive products.
