Impactxoft has announced that CADbrain, a distributor of computer engineering products and services, has signed a reseller agreement to join Impactxoft's Need Speed programme and will sell the IX Speed Suite in Japan CADbrain provides engineering technology, training and support to gaming machine makers and suppliers in the Japanese market

To help its customers solve product development challenges, it specialises in 2D and 3D CAD systems as well as CAM solutions.

CADbrain also plans to launch a CAD training facility dedicated to educating customers on the latest engineering techniques and technology.

The company believes that with the IX Speed Suite already making inroads in the Japanese market, CADbrain will not only sell the the IX Speed Suite to its existing customers in the machine gaming industry but that the company also plans to expand its focus to reach product development companies with other specialties.

The IX Speed Suite is for simultaneous product development (SPD) that is specialised to meet the needs of vertical disciplines that develop products for the electronics and electrical (E and E) and consumer goods markets.

All products in the suite feature functional modelling and collaborative design capabilities that help drive a more flexible, productive, and innovative product development process said Impactxoft.

The product suite ensures that co-located as well as globally dispersed teams of professionals - spanning critical roles such as industrial design, product engineering, mould and tooling design, and NC manufacturing - can take advantage of specialised toolsets while working in parallel to develop market-competitive products said Impactxoft.

Kunihiko Kaigawa, CADbrain's chief executive officer said: "Already, the response from our key customers has been overwhelming when they see the functional modelling and SPD capabilities of Impactxoft's product suite.

As software that addresses the entire product lifecycle in a single environment, we are confident that the IX Speed Suite can quickly penetrate the gaming machine industry and help us successfully move forward into new markets." Martin Welch, Impactxoft's executive vice president and chief operating officer, added: "With its longstanding reputation for excellence, we are confident that our partnership with CADbrain will enable us to successfully capture greater market share in Japan.

As CADbrain looks to expand business opportunities in to a wider market, our IX Speed Suite is the perfect solution to help them reach a broad range of companies with diverse product development needs.".
