Imass Design Solutions' (iDS) new offices include improved training facilities, on-site customer conference amenities and meeting rooms.

All Newcastle iDS staff will be moving from the parent company's headquarters in Gosforth, Newcastle to new offices in Gateshead on 21st May 2007.

The premises include improved training facilities, on-site customer conference amenities and meeting rooms.

The move is also linked to major growth in the other Imass sector teams at the Gosforth headquarters and the choice of new office and training facilities was based on a thorough analysis of the needs of iDS and its customers.

In addition, iDS has further invested in its support services with NetDesk, a service desk IT system, which will enable a faster and more efficient response to callers.

NetDesk provides a web interface into the Imass Service Desk System, whereby users can enter calls, review calls and subject to privilege, update calls via a web-browser over the internet.

"We've listened to our many customers in the North East who appreciate the opportunity for local training courses and seminars and the popularity of these - plus the expansion of our sales and technical teams - has led to the move", says Colin Watson, Imass Business Development Director.

iDS also has offices and training facilities in Aberdeen.

"With the recent introduction of many new technological advances in manufacturing design software, enabling the move to 3D design and the better use of design data, we are dealing with a dynamic and fast-moving market.

We are confident that this situation, combined with our proven expertise in both CAD and data management software, will bring even further rewards and our new facilities will help us maximise these.
