The IMechE has organised a young engineers' conference on "Essential management skills for engineers" at Keele University from 5th to 8th April 2006.

The event aims to offer an insight into many new skills and techniques needed in the modern day working environment.

It will concentrate delegates' thoughts on the benefits of implementing some of the basic skills that every professional needs to bring out the best in themselves and those working in their environment.

This is the 23rd conference in this series, its success based largely on continual improvement year on year to help young engineers stimulate their desire to succeed, motivate themselves and learn innovative leadership concepts.

The structure is designed to provide you with an opportunity to network and share best practice; whilst the content promotes fresh thinking and the opportunity to try new approaches to problem solving and team working.
