The 2006 NFRIP Seminar "Working to improve the reliability of the national train fleet" will be held on Monday 9th October 2006 at the IMechE in London.

Building on the success of 2005's event the IMechE will present speakers from across the industry, including David Sawyer, the Chairman of NFRIP, and Directors, Managers and Engineers from Virgin Trains, Porterbrook, Angel Trains, First Scotrail, GNER, Southern, London Lines, HSBC, TransPennine Express, NedTrain, ATOC.

Also speaking will be Anthony Smith, Chief Executive of Passenger Focus.

Case studies and workshops will set out the challenge and benefits of best practice implementation and explore how working in partnership can assist in the solutions to some of today's and tomorrow's rolling stock reliability issues.

Delegates will gain an understanding of NFRIP members are doing now to improve the reliability of trains (what works well, what doesn't work so well) and what they will be doing next to consolidate, build on reliability improvements and best practice.

This seminar will benefit everyone involved with and interested in rolling stock reliability - technicians, technical officers, incorporated engineers, chartered engineers, and engineering managers and directors from throughout industry and government.
