An Institution of Mechanical Engineers product story
Edited by the Engineeringtalk editorial team Sep 30, 2008

Imeche has announced the next seminar in the An Engineer in Court series, giving a valuable insight into the legal responsibilities of an engineer.

When conflicts occur, court action often results.

It is imperative that engineers have a full understanding of the legalities surrounding their role and can maintain and produce personal records of the highest standards.

Imeche, in partnership with legal partners Bond Solon, is offering key advice on an engineer's relationship with the law.

The seminar will: address the legal implications of effective note-taking and record-keeping, offer insight into product protection and give advice on insurance best practice.

Attending will allow engineers: to be ready for any legal arising, criminal or civil; to handle cross examination with confidence; to prepare for a day in the witness box; to comprehend their legal responsibilities; and gain valuable insight into product protection.
