MIE Docs creates a virtual drive on a network, allowing everyone in a company to share files from the repository using Windows Explorer.
The MIE Docs system allows adding, deleting, checking in, checking out and managing all the attributes of a file.

For example, a true virtual drive allows engineering CAD/CAM systems to seamlessly manage documents.
A new context-sensitive menu adds, checks out and checks in files.
The latest version also automatically synchronises local virtual drives with the repository.
It handles documents that internally link to other documents through the virtual directory.
It can edit/view documents in a disconnected mode from the main repository.
An installation package simplifies upgrading from version 1.53.
The MIE Docs repository allows direct opening and saving from all Windows applications.
Documents are stored in a common repository that lets the user hide sensitive information based on groups and individual file access.
Administrator, publisher and viewer rights are available for projects, folders and individual documents.
Every document must be checked out and checked in, enabling safe multi-user editing.
Documents are saved in history so there is a full accounting of who changed a file and when.
MIE Docs runs on the standard SQL server database, which is fast and flexible.
The server installation creates and updates the database without scripts or database-management skills.
