KSO Metalfab installs MIE Maintenance software

A MIE Solutions product story
Edited by the Engineeringtalk editorial team Aug 28, 2009

KSO Metalfab has purchased MIE Solutions' MIE Maintenance software, a full CMMS and work order system designed to prevent failures across a company's entire organisation.

The system uses PM- and condition-based maintenance to preserve and restore equipment reliability by replacing worn components before they fail.

Preventive maintenance activities include partial or complete overhauls at specified periods, oil changes and lubrication.

In addition, workers can record equipment deterioration so they know to replace or repair worn parts.

The software helps companies in asset-intensive industries maintain their investments by their assets.

It handles both maintenance requests and predefined maintenance tasks to notify maintenance teams to perform work- maintenance requests can then be denied or approved.

Once a maintenance request is approved, a work order is created to perform the work.

All the work can be logged into MIE Maintenance for historical and fixed-asset reporting.
