New venue for hazardous area event in 2007

HazardEx will be held on 21st and 22nd February 2007 at the National Motorcycle Museum in Birmingham and will once again comprise an exhibition, conference and an awards ceremony.

HazardEx The Event - the only event to offer indispensable advice form the top companies in the hazardous area industry when complying with the ATEX Directive - is back for its sixth consecutive year and will be bigger than ever before.

This year's show not only boasts a new venue but will now have more exhibition stands than any other year.

HazardEx The Event will be held on 21st and 22nd February 2007 at the National Motorcycle Museum in Birmingham and will once again comprise an exhibition, conference and an awards ceremony.

Plus anyone booking before 29th September 2006 will receive a 15% early bird booking discount, and visitors can also preregister to attend the exhibition only for free.

HazardEx 2007 also includes a two-day conference with presentations on the ATEX and DSEAR directives from the leading top bodies.

The main theme for this year's show is "From Theory to practice" and some of the subjects covered in the conference include: living with DSEAR - now that the ATEX timetable has run its course; internationalisation under the IECEx certification scheme; ensuring operational competence in the hazardous area; industrial fire safety precautions and their effects on the environment; case studies from the global industrial community; IEC61508 - covering functional safety and SILs; and risk assessment - what is required?.

Speakers of the very highest calibre are being invited from right across the industry to provide up-to-the minute perspectives.

In the evening of the first day, the annual awards ceremony will take place to recognise excellence in the industry in the following categories: technical innovation of the year, contribution towards safety, user application of the year and small/new business of the year.

The occasion promises to be a glittering affair with entertainment and a sit down meal included.
