HazardEx International 2007 has announced its comprehensive two day conference programme.

HazardEx International 2007 - the only event to offer indispensable advice from the top authorities in the hazardous area industry, when complying with the ATEX, DSEAR + IECEx requirements - has announced its comprehensive two day conference programme.

The event will once again see a presence from the industry's top bodies such as the HSE, IECEx, DTI and BRE who will all be offering their advice on guidance for the new laws.

All the main industry sectors will be included in this year's programme as presentations will cover the food and beverage sector where topics such as the MRO and EASA scheme and mechanical engineering will be discussed on day one.

The petrochemical industry will be embraced with talks that include EX compliance framework and intrinsically safe areas.

Day one will also be chaired by the much respected Ron Bell who spent many years heading up departments for the HSE and now works as a consultant.

Day two sees the start of discussions on the oil and gas sector with an interesting case study with Rolls Royce regarding the programme undertaken to assess the installed safety instrumented systems, in a Thai gas separation complex.

The last presentations on day two cover the important pharmaceutical sector.

The presentations will discuss the break-through and acceptance of serial digital communication in the process industry.

Day two will once again be chaired by Ian Cleare, who runs the 61508.org movement and again is a respected consultant in plant and operational safety.

In addition to this full programme and new to 2007 will be a competence and training workshop provided by Sira Test and Certification which will be looking at the DSEAR Check List and making sure you have ticked all your boxes.

The workshop will provide a brief review of the regulations and how they impact on businesses, encouraging delegates to interact with a questions and answers session.

Explosion demonstrations will bring a "big bang" to the day, finishing off with advice on how to integrate DSEAR into existing processes as part of continuous improvement and best practice.

This activity is appropriate for the maintenance or enhancement of a competence relevant to an individual's professional development, as endorsed by the IET.

All of this is supported by a generous early bird booking discount where delegates who book before the 31st October 2006 will receive 10% off the price of attendance.

In addition, members of ECA, IET, EEMUA, AEMT and CIWEM can receive a further 10% off the price.
