IIn response to the rapidly growing trend towards e-commerce and on-line ordering, IMO has launched a unique new web site www.imopc.com with strategic partners, Farnell.

Unlike any other web site, IMOnline is designed to cater for major contract customers in the UK, with lower volume customers automatically referred to Farnell via hyperlink, in an exclusive internet distribution rights agreement.

This fresh approach to Internet ordering evolved when IMO realised they were not effectively structured to deal with small orders, but still wanted to appeal to passing trade and establish global access and availability of products.

All customers are able to access the entire product catalogue, in addition to product software and manuals, via the IMO web site.

Major contract customers are also able to order on-line quickly and efficiently by accessing their own personalised menu using a dedicated customer password.

They are met with a personal greeting, dedicated product menu and contract price list in local currency, and can place orders on a daily, weekly or monthly basis.

Orders are then hyperlinked to IMO's distribution centre, for delivery overnight to the customer.

In order to offer fast effective and flexible ex-stock delivery for low volume customers however, IMO has established a unique Internet agreement with Farnell, which allows the customer to order on-line and receive products directly from stock from Farnell locations around the world.

Products ordered on-line are automatically transferred to Farnell via hyperlink for processing and ex-stock delivery through its worldwide distribution network.
