Component specialist IMO has launched a new series of specialist miniature relays for use in automotive applications, which utilise silver oxide contacts for maximum contact efficiency.

Ideal for operating lighting systems, indicators, alarms, central locking, electric windows and sun roofs for example, the ET1/ET2 series relays have an extremely compact size, measuring just 14mm long x 12.8mm high x 10.5mm wide, making them ideal for space conscious automotive interiors.

The relays possess a mechanical life expectancy of 1 x 106 operations and the units operate at a nominal 12V DC with a 225 ohm (+/- 10%) coil resistance.

In addition, the relays feature a maximum switching voltage of 16V DC, a maximum switching current rating of 30A at 16V DC and are certified to have a 'must operate' voltage rating of 6.5V DC and a 'must release' voltage rating of 0.9V DC.
