Surface mount gives a buzz to audible devices

An IMO Precision Controls product story

IMO has introduced several new surface mount additions to its established range of audible devices.

IMO has introduced several new surface mount additions to its established range of audible devices, including 41T SMD external drive magnetic transducers, 41S SMD magnetic sounders and 41PT SMD external drive piezo transducers.

All devices in the range are suitable for most applications, drive conditions and sound requirements and can be used to give either a low frequency 'buzz', a high clear tone, or an intermediate rich tome.

In addition, all devices are sealed and are available taped and reeled.

The 41T series SMD external drive magnetic transducers have seen seven new introductions, with these devices suitable for applications requiring external drive circuitry.

Contained in a 2mm high slimline package for optimum space saving, operating voltages range from 1 to 6VDC, sound output goes up to 80dBA and resonant frequency to 3200KHz.

Next is the 41S SMD series magnetic sounders, with each device incorporating an internal oscillator circuit suitable for a wide range of DC drive voltages.

This series sees one new style introduction, producing a sound output to 85dBA at 2400 KHz with a voltage range of 3-15V.

Finally, the 41PT SMD series of external drive piezo transducers sees three new devices joining its ranks, with each component producing sound outputs in relation to the drive voltage and frequency.

Ideal for battery and portable applications, device operating voltages ranges are up to 40VDC, with sound output to 85dB and resonant frequency to 5000KHz.
