IMO has launched the PC900 PID profile Temperature Controller, designed for a wide range of multifunction and multirange process control applications.

Featuring 10 programmable patterns containing up to 10 ramp or dwell steps, the controller can link each pattern to produce up to 100 individual steps for accurate control in complex heating/cooling procedures.

Featuring CE marking conformity, the PC900 is user-selectable for K, J, R, S, B, E, T, C, PL-II and N thermocouples, Pt100 resistance thermometers, and 4-20mA, 0-20mA, 0-1VDC inputs, and will also deliver relay, voltage or 4-20mA outputs.

In addition, three temperature alarm contacts are independently programmable with 12 functions and a choice of RS232C or RS485 serial communication options are available.

The PC900 also offers optional heat/cool outputs, with air, oil or water cooling compensation used to give more accurate control than a heat output alone.

This is especially important on processes that create heat during operation, such as plastic injection molding.

The controller also possesses a second control output, or 4th alarm, option, external selection of pattern numbers, features program functions include wait, hold, advance, back advance, repeat or link, and is pending UL and CSA approval.

Furthermore, the program time range is 0-99 hours at 59 minutes per step, or 0-99 minutes at 59 seconds per step.
