IMO's low cost flexible networking solution enables the entire range of Jaguar VXM general purpose ac inverter drives to easily interface with any part of the most popular fieldbus systems

IMO's low cost flexible networking solution enables the entire range of Jaguar VXM general purpose ac inverter drives to easily interface with any part of the most popular fieldbus systems used in the UK today.

Jaguar users can now take advantage of five reliable high speed communication systems to minimise downtime, maximise productivity and save on significant costs associated with conventional hard wired systems.

The easy to install fieldbus modules use industry proven technology and are currently available for Profibus DP, Interbus, DeviceNet, CAN Open and Modbus Plus.

This wide choice allows the potential user the freedom to use the most appropriate PLC operating system for his process control or integrate the Jaguar VXM series into an existing network.

The Fieldbus modules plug directly into the front of the complete drive range from 0.4 to 400kW, and expand the inverters functionality by giving the PLC direct access to monitoring parameters such as power, speed, torque, current, reference and set point.

To compliment the Jaguar VXM's new high speed Fieldbus options, a new Windows software tool designed for use with the standard on-board RS485 communication port is available.

This full colour program allows users comprehensive upload, download, copy and monitor facilities as well as full parameter R/W access, therefore making it an invaluable commissioning aid for Jaguar VXM, VX and VXS drives.
