A new series of "bright" photoelectric sensors, the SQ range, is now available from IMO Precision Controls.

These models, which operate over a wide voltage range of 18 to 240V AC/DC, offer an easier way of interfacing with any system thanks to a practical relay output.

Designed specifically for conveyor and materials handling applications, a wide operating temperature (-20 to + 60C) and IP65 enclosure means that these universal switches can also be used in barrier and door control applications where the unit may be exposed to harsh outdoor environments.

The SQ family comes fitted with bright, top mounted LEDs to indicate power and output status.

Diffuse, through-beam, retro reflective and polarised retro types are all available.

Offering both visible red and infra-red emission, the sensing range of these sensors varies from 1.5 to 15m.

Connection is made via an M12 plug which can be rotated through 90 degrees to suit any cable run.
