System eases rail testing
IWT4 uses mathematical processing and the latest in radio telemetry and signal conditioning to accurately measure forces at the wheel-rail interface.
Here, Interfleet's Senior Consultant Roland Pfitzner, is responsible for monitoring all stages of planning, production, testing and delivery to ensure the vehicles meet the high standards required by DLR and, in turn, the system's operating franchisee Serco.
The site engineering is led by Senior Engineer Richard Ordish, who works from Interfleet's Derby office in the UK.
Ordish is interfacing with both Interfleet's German office staff and DLR, bringing to the project the benefit of knowledge gained during previous and ongoing new build and resident engineering assignments.
