Bearing assemblies for rolled thread
screws
A new range of axial angular-contact needle bearing assemblies are ideal where speed, repeatability and stroke allow acme screws to be used, but the support bearing still needs stiffness.
Ina's latest range of axial angular-contact needle bearing assemblies are designed to fulfil the needs of applications where speed, repeatability and stroke allow acme screws to be used, but stiffness requirements of the support bearing remain quite high Developed with the philosophy "as accurate as needed, and as durable as possible", series ZAXFM bearing assemblies supplement the extensive range of INA axial needle/cylindrical roller bearings and axial angular-contact ball bearings

Guide to guidance systems and accessories includes both linear recirculating roller bearing and ball bearing guideway assemblies, as well as complete linear guidance systems.
Having double-direction axial angular-contact needle bearings, Ina series ZAXFM locating bearings are able to support high axial loads and possess high rigidity due to the needle roller and cage assemblies and the contact angle of 60 degrees.
The high-precision bearing assemblies have a maximum axial runout on the inner ring of 0.05mm - similar to rolled screw thread variations, and can be set clearance-free with the adjusting nut to make adjustment at the assembly stage unnecessary.
Easy to install, series ZAXFM bearing assemblies are mounted with the outer ring directly onto the supporting structure face with no additional radial location being required.
Furthermore, no additional axial location of the screw is required thanks to the bearing assembly being mounted on the screw through the threaded bore of the inner ring.
Being precision machined from high-strength aluminium means the lightweight bearing rings and adjusting nuts produce a significantly lower moment of inertia compared to steel, and are also highly resistant to corrosion.
Available with bore diameters ranging from 5 to 25mm, Ina axial angular-contact needle bearing assemblies are used very successfully for applications in a wide range of industries, including medical, robotics, automation, lifting and conveying.
The complete range of axial angular-contact needle bearing assemblies, together with installation instructions and application examples, is detailed in publication MAI 73, available free from Ina Bearing Company. Request a free brochure from Schaeffler (UK) ...
