The AirCare Standard package extends the normal two-year manufacturer's warranty on the air-end and motor by a further three years at no extra cost.
The new AirCare Plus package offers a five-year warranty from start-up and covers all components, labour, freight and duty charges.
With AirCare Plus, the customer pays a one off premium proportional to the kW rating.
By simply completing and returning a registration card or contacting the local service provider for AirCare Plus the compressor is immediately covered for five years.
To comply with the terms of the warranty, companies must have their compressors serviced when recommended by an Ingersoll-Rand distributor who will use only genuine parts and who is supplied with the latest computer measurement techniques and equipment.
This includes the Ingersoll-Rand 2000 hourly servicing, Ultracoolant sampling and IR30 monitoring which are designed to save customers from incurring substantial repair bills.
Shaun Rigby, who is responsible for aftermarket programs declares, "We believe that both these five-year schemes will give customers even greater confidence when purchasing and operating our equipment and represent a major breakthrough for compressed air users everywhere.
Now they can buy our compressors trusting that they have excellent cover for their equipment in what we believe to be the most comprehensive support package available." According to Ingersoll-Rand, the company's design and manufacturing processes continue to produce compressors to increasingly higher standards that make the equipment more reliable and efficient than ever before.
AirCare is also available on Ingersoll-Rand dryers and on the small reciprocating range, thus providing the customer with a total air solutions package for his compressed Air System.
