Impactools based on Qtimax platform

An Ingersoll-Rand European Sales product story
Edited by the Engineeringtalk editorial team May 19, 2009

Ingersoll-Rand has extended its range of 3/8in and 1/2in Premium Composite Impactools based on the Qtimax series platform.

The tools offer high performance levels for professionals in the automotive and industrial maintenance applications.

They will be offered in three different configurations.

The 2115XP (3/8in square drive) and 2125XP (1/2in square drive) offer 370Nm (273ft/lb) and 410Nm (302ft/lb) respectively.

Their reduced size - less than 155mm - will allow greater access to tight spaces, and weight - 1.14kg - will reduce operator fatigue.

The larger 2135XP model offers 935Nm (690ft/lb) in a lightweight package of 1.9kg.

The three new models feature Ingersoll Rand patented one-hand forward/reverse switch, ultra-sensitive feather-touch trigger as well as a convenient four-position power regulator in forward, while full power is always delivered in reverse.

Driven by a six-vane motor, the Ingersoll Rand exclusive Twin-Hammer impact mechanism with proprietary advanced metallurgy delivers high power per kilogram and is less sensitive to air pressure fluctuations.

The ergonomic composite housing and the reinforced aluminium hammer case have been engineered for reduced weight and superior durability.

The housing design also features optimised air flow for greater performance, while offering low air consumption.
