Higher performance from budget servos
Inmoco's new PMB Series from Pacific Scientific is a cost effective range of servomotors designed to provide higher levels of positioning accuracy, increased acceleration and cooler running.
Inmoco's new PMB Series from Pacific Scientific is a cost effective range of servomotors designed to provide higher levels of positioning accuracy, increased acceleration and cooler running than competitive motors of the same type The PMB Series is the ideal complement to Inmoco's PC800 and PC3400 digital brushless servo drives, the combination providing the optimum in digital performance in light industrial applications such as electronic assembly, packaging, materials handling and x-y positioning

Intelligent Motion Control is extending the output torques of servo and stepper motors to class leading levels with the introduction of the new Ultratrue 22 from Thomson Micron.
Servo actuators have better dynamic response
The hollow shaft design of Inmoco's new Bautz servo linear actuators reduces weight significantly, providing improved dynamic response and enabling travel velocities up to 500mm/s to be achieved.
The PMB Series covers size 17 and NEMA 23 and 34 frame sizes, and offers continuous rated torque in the range from of 0.22 to 5Nm.
The servomotors have global certification, which benefits OEM machine builders by ensuring their acceptance on machines supplied worldwide.
A rugged brushless construction, with double shielded bearings, thermistor protection and Class F insulation, enables the PMB servomotors to withstand the rigours of the factory floor with minimum levels of maintenance.
In addition, high performance neodymium-iron-boron magnets help to achieve the highest acceleration possible, and an anti-cogging motor design ensures smooth performance at low speeds.
The suitability of the PMB servomotors for OEM use is enhanced by the nature and number of connection and feedback options available.
As regards the former, MS connectors and AMP mini Mate-N-Lock versions are offered (both with flying leads), providing improved overall flexibility, faster installation and maintenance for the OEM and user alike.
The same qualities also extend to the feedback options, with resolver and Hall sensors available, and also digital commutating encoders offering 2048pulse/rev or, for applications where ultra high resolutions are required, 4096pulse/rev.
The ability to integrate the PMB series into any machine or mechanism is also enhanced by the facility for different types of shaft configurations.
In addition to round and flat shafts, the options include shafts with square keys, round keys and Woodruff keys.
As a measure of confidence in the PMB Series, all the motors supplied by Inmoco offer the security of a two-year warranty.
Inmoco also supplies the PC800 and PC3400 servo drives which are matched to the PMB Series, the package providing higher performance and efficiency and more usable torque in any application. Request a free brochure from Inmoco ...
