Longer life for planetary roller screws
The Exlar PRS series of planetary roller screws have been designed for high speed, heavy duty motion control applications and offer up to 15 times longer life than comparably sized ball screws.
The Exlar PRS series of planetary roller screws from Inmoco have been designed for high speed, heavy duty motion control applications and offer up to 15 times longer life than comparably sized ball screws They provide a more reliable and flexible operation than pneumatic or hydraulic solutions and are ideal for positioning systems used in medical, machine tool, assembly and materials handling applications

Servo actuators have better dynamic response
The hollow shaft design of Inmoco's new Bautz servo linear actuators reduces weight significantly, providing improved dynamic response and enabling travel velocities up to 500mm/s to be achieved.
Key to the PRS series design is a precision ground planetary roller screw construction that offers a greater number of contact points than ball screws, providing higher load capacities and increased stiffness.
In tests, the PRS models provided up to 15 times the life of comparably sized ball screws, a higher shock load resistance and required virtually no maintenance.
The PRS roller screws also offer major advantages over pneumatic and hydraulic solutions.
Being actuator controlled, they operate without the complex and bulky support system of valves, pumps, compressors, filters and sensors required by other systems.
Added benefits of specifying the roller screws include; no problems of hydraulic leakage, a reduction in noise levels and easier integration into computer controlled positioning systems.
By converting rotary torque into linear motion, the roller screws are capable of rotational speeds above 5000rev/min and carrying loads over 3465kN for thousands of hours, even in the most arduous of environments.
Their robust and precise construction makes them ideal for use in automated machine tool systems, assembly processes, critical positioning and handling applications in medical, military and general industries.
The screws are available in diameters from 3.5 to 150mm and are manufactured to G1, G3, G4 and G5 tolerance classes.
They can be supplied with a range of nut flange designs; no flange, end and centre flanges, as well as a variety of preloaded nut options, including single, split (preloaded) and double nuts for the elimination of backlash.
In addition to the standard models, Inmoco can also design custom roller screws and components specifically tailored to any application. Request a free brochure from Inmoco ...
