Linear actuators boast trouble-free
operation
The Exlar EL series of explosion-proof linear actuators incorporates features specially developed for use in process applications.
Inmoco's new Exlar EL series of explosion-proof linear actuators incorporates features specially developed for use in process applications: sophisticated velocity and positioning control, high speeds and forces, and the ability to carry heavy loads, reliably, for thousands of hours In addition, the fully sealed design of the EL series ensures highly reliable and trouble-free operation, even in the most severe and demanding environments The EL Series actuators are CSA -USA recognised for Class 1, div 1, Groups B, C and D hazardous environments; and also have UL approval

Servo actuators have better dynamic response
The hollow shaft design of Inmoco's new Bautz servo linear actuators reduces weight significantly, providing improved dynamic response and enabling travel velocities up to 500mm/s to be achieved.
They are based on a unique design, which integrates a highly efficient planetary roller screw mechanism with a high torque servomotor in a single self-contained package.
The roller screw outperforms rival ballscrews by a factor of 15, in terms of travel life and load carrying capacity.
It consists of multiple threaded rollers assembled in a planetary arrangement around a threaded shaft.

Servomotors deliver long, maintenance free life
Inmoco's new PMA Series from Pacific Scientific is a rugged range of servomotors designed to provide high levels of torque and long, maintenance free operation in highly dynamic applications
This highly robust design is designed to provide reliable and precise operation over thousands of hours.
The combination of the planetary roller screw and servomotor produces an all-electric actuator which is extremely compact, yet delivers similar performance to hydraulic actuators in terms of force (1227kg maximum) and torque capability, while surpassing them in speed (up to 635mm/s), efficiency and positioning performance.
As a result, the EL series is able to deliver simple and effective solutions for nearly every size of valve and damper in plants and installations both on and offshore.
Also optimising the EL series actuators for process applications is their excellent contamination protection.
In conventional rotary to linear devices the critical mechanisms are exposed to the environment and therefore require frequent inspection, cleaning and lubrication.
In contrast, all converting components in the EL series actuator are mounted within the sealed motor housing, which is IP65 rated.
The smooth extending rod allows the use of a bushing and seal arrangement, which prevents abrasive particles and other forms of contamination from entering the actuator's critical mechanisms.
This assures trouble-free operation even in the most severe environments.
The integrated construction of the EL Series actuators guarantees simplified startups, as the end user engineering associated with integrating motors, geared reducers, lead screws, belts - or high pressure pumps and pipework - is eliminated.
In addition, Windows based programming makes setup and operation quick and uncomplicated.
In particular, simple slide bar adjustments make tuning the motor and setting up valve commands much easier than is the case with conventional actuators. Request a free brochure from Inmoco ...
