Spray valve boasts consistent, repeatable coverage

An Intertronics product story

The Fisnar SV1217 spray valve provides a finely controlled, adjustable spray for low to medium viscosity fluids and coatings.

The Fisnar SV1217 spray valve from Intertronics provides a finely controlled, adjustable spray for low to medium viscosity fluids and coatings.

The spray pattern can be easily configured by a combination of a stroke-restrictor dial adjustment at the top of the valve, changing the discharge nozzle and varying the distance from the subject.

Fluid transfer efficiency is maintained via a dual air control system.

A piston-actuated needle opens the material inlet under low pressure whilst a secondary pressure source forces air around the nozzle so that the fluid breaks into fine droplets.

At the end of the spray operation, the needle closes but the secondary air remains on momentarily to clean the outlet nozzle of any material residue and provide a positive cutoff.

These features ensure that consistent and repeatable coverage is maintained throughout the coating operation, with no bounce or mist creation.

Wetted parts are stainless steel for low maintenance and resistance to chemicals.

The SV1217 spray valve can be installed on any type of assembly equipment or mounted on a Fisnar robot for automatic cycling.
