A comprehensive new selector guide from Intertronics features Dymax's range of high performance adhesives for a variety of challenging motor and speaker applications.

Typical applications are illustrated by photographs, graphs, charts and diagrams to highlight the very fast cures that are available with Dymax's adhesive technology and the associated benefits of high speed automated production.

Several cure methods, all allowing instant processing, are explained, including application and cure of both light and activator curing grades together with cure speed charts at temperatures for induction and heat curing adhesives.

The guide details DC motor assembly, describing flange bonding, commutator to shaft assembly, tab sealing, ruggedising armatures and magnet bonding.

Details of viscosity, tensile shear strength and fixture time are included.

Also featured are products for bonding chokes, ferrite cores and transformers, using diagrams illustrating interfacial bonding of gapped and ungapped cores, bridge bonded joints with no gap, and bridge bonding simply to reinforce spring clips.

For loudspeaker assembly, adhesives for bonding magnets to pole pieces, spider to voice coil and cone to voice coil assemblies, lead masks, dust covers and sound dampening gaskets are included.

Dymax adhesives can form high strength bonds to 20MPa on metal, ferrite, ceramic and glass surfaces, passing severe thermal shock testing from -55 to +230C.

Superior environmental resistance results in bonds that can endure even the harshest conditions for DC motor, speaker, alternator, flywheel and transformer assemblies.

A range of UV curing equipment is featured for light cure adhesives, along with processes and applications that benefit from the instant speed of UV cure.

Spot curing systems, conveyor-mounted lamps, stand alone curing chambers and ovens are all included.
