Masking resins save time in metal finishing, protect critical surfaces and suit complex sensitive shapes such as turbine blades and medical orthopaedic implants, such as knee joint components.

Dymax Speedmask masking resins from Intertronics replace lacquers, wax, tape and fixtures to save time in metal finishing processes and to protect critical surfaces They are suitable for complex sensitive shapes such as turbine blades in aerospace and industrial power generation, or in the manufacture of medical orthopaedic implants, for example knee joint components

These ultraviolet cure resins protect against most metal finishing process environments.

Their adhesion can provide sealing of cooling cavity openings and prevent contamination of complex parts such as turbine blades and vanes - protecting from acid, alkaline and plating solutions and from debris created in air plasma treatments, HVOF, peening and grit blasting.

Biocompatible grades and red or fluorescing grades are available for enhanced visibility.

The instant ultraviolet cure feature of these masks along with availability in viscosities to suit all dispensing and flow requirements provide the handling characteristics necessary to speed up and streamline metal finishing processes.

The masking resins contain no solvents and do not require costly solvent recovery systems - they are easily removable by burning, peeling or water solution dependant upon the material chosen, and leave the masked surface residue free after removal.
