Ingenta, the global research gateway, has been selected by Oxford University Press (OUP) to host the full text of 60 OUP humanities and social science journals on the web

ingenta, the global research gateway, has been selected by Oxford University Press (OUP) to host the full text of 60 OUP humanities and social science journals on the web - adding to the 90 titles currently available at www.ingenta.com.

In addition, ingenta will create a home page for each journal, containing supplementary articles, printed issues and marketing information.

Launched over a three-month period, from early January 2001, each home page will link to free full text articles for subscribers and an article pay-per-view facility for non-subscribers.

Martin Richardson, Publishing Director of Oxford University Press comments, "We chose ingenta to host 60 of our humanities and social science journals because of their technical expertise and proven track record." "By hosting this complete set of premium research content from Oxford University Press, the social science and humanities subject area of our site will be strengthened," says Don Klein, e-Communities Programme Director at ingenta.

"With leading-edge portals technology and the OUP brand we will be able to develop 60 new knowledge communities enabling readers to find and retrieve this material in a flexible, online form wherever they are in the world.".
