The latest developments in noise research will be discussed at a meeting on 24th May 2005 organised by the The Institute of Acoustics Environmental Noise Group in conjunction with DEFRA.

The latest developments in noise research will be discussed at a meeting on 24th May 2005 organised by the The Institute of Acoustics Environmental Noise Group in conjunction with DEFRA The meeting, which is being held in support of Noise Action Week organised by NSCA, will take place at the National Motorcycle Museum in Birmingham, and will be of interest to all those who work in the field of environmental and neighbour noise both as consultants and regulators

The meeting will offer an opportunity to discuss the latest developments in noise research, including: construction noise; coping strategies for low frequency noise; review of the 1982 Code of Practice on noise; current DEFRA research plans; noise control from laminate and wooden floors; review of methods for assessing noise from pubs and clubs; and some considerations in mapping of industrial noise.
