IOA seminar tackles subject of vibration exposure
The Institute of Acoustic is organising a one-day seminar on the 'Control of Vibration at Work Regulations', implementing the Physical Agents Directive in the UK, that came into force in July 2005.
After a long development period, it is hoped that we will at last have an updated standard for use in 2007.
This one-day meeting will be an opportunity to bring together all the latest thinking on the subject and for consultants and practitioners to bring themselves up to date with the latest measurement techniques and assessment methods.
Papers are invited on the following subjects: practical measurements of human vibration; instrumentation; assessment methods for ground vibration; blasting vibration; railway vibration; vibration from construction sites; and comments to draft BS6472.
