Transformer modules bring digital
control

A new range of solid state synchro control transformer modules can be used to provide digital control to existing analogue systems.

Inertial Aerosystems has introduced a new range of solid state synchro control transformer modules This quality range is designed primarily to replace traditional electromechanical control transformers and thus provide digital control to existing analogue systems

These units measure only 66.04 x 78.74 x 20.83mm with standard accuracies of +/-6, +/-15 and +/-30arc-min.

These products can simultaneously accept analogue synchro or resolver inputs of 11.8 or 90V at 400Hz or 90V at 60Hz and 14, 12 or 10bit binary digital data and provide an output voltage which is the sine of the difference between these two input angles.

Output angle is +/-7 or +/-12 degrees at 0.4V RMS/degree or 1V RMS/degree.

The convertors have transformer isolated reference and synchro inputs, and no adjustments are required.

Bidirectional input data are accepted and outputs are short circuit protected.

The modules have many applications in the process, engineering, electrical, electronic, manufacturing and defence industries.

A typical application is in a conventional follow-up servo as an error signal generator.

When designing single speed position servos, new positions can be digitally programmed via a computer bus. Request a free brochure from Inertial Aerosystems UK ...
