Small accelerometers suit hostile environments

An Inertial Aerosystems UK product story
Edited by the Engineeringtalk editorial team Aug 29, 2007

Inertial Aerosystems' analogue accelerometer modules have a +/-4V differential output or 0.5V to 4.5V single ended output, with an operating voltage of 9 to 32V DC.

Inertial Aerosystems has released a range of small, hermetically sealed, analogue accelerometer modules.

Each module is packaged in a titanium enclosure, sealed by laser welding.

A separate detachable cable is available with an airtight connection.

Designed for use in hostile environments, the seven models in the range have a full-scale acceleration of +/-2g to +/-200g, with a temperature range of -55C to +125C.

These versatile units have high-drive, low-impedance buffering for measuring acceleration.

Serialised for traceability, they have a +/-4V differential output or 0.5V to 4.5V single ended output, with an operating voltage of 9 to 32V DC.

These devices have a simple four-wire connection, with low-impedance cables that will drive up to 15m of cable, and will respond to DC and AC acceleration.

An optional calibration certificate is available.

Applications include flight tests, vibration monitoring and analysis, machine control, model analysis, robotics, crash testing and instrumentation.
