Thermal switches suit custom needs

An Inertial Aerosystems UK product story
Edited by the Engineeringtalk editorial team Feb 6, 2008

Thermal switches can be manufactured to meet custom requirements, including severe or special environments, high or low current applications and specific temperature ranges.

Inertial Aerosystems has released customised configurations of an established range of thermal switches.

The range includes the 100 nonhermetic, the 200 and 500 Mil series and the space-qualified 700 series of hermetically sealed thermostats, all manufactured by Honeywell in Redmond, USA.

A range of special train locomotive switches are also available.

Products can now be manufactured to meet custom requirements, including severe or special environments, high or low-current applications, specific temperature ranges and/or nonstandard differential and setpoint tolerances.

Special features include terminal configurations, plating, overmoulds, leadwires and high-pressure housings.

Temperature ranges are -62 to +371C with custom setpoint tolerances +/-1C.

The devices are hermetically sealed with an all welded construction and are vibration and shock-resistant.

Single-throw SPST and DPST models are included.

Another important feature is the ability to cater for unusual outlines and mounting configurations.

Special testing to Mil or space standards is available.

The products suit defence/aerospace, high-reliability engineering, manufacturing, processing and electronics/electrical applications.
