The Mini-Q accelerometer uses the Q-Flex etched quartz proof flexible seismic system modified for harsh environments.

Inertial Aerosystems has released a rugged, high-temperature accelerometer with a small diameter that makes it ideal for the latest slimline down hole tools.

Designed primarily for downhole measurement while drilling (MWD), it has applications in the gas and oil industries, but can be used in other hostile environments.

The Mini-Q accelerometer is manufactured by Honeywell and uses the Q-Flex etched quartz proof flexible seismic system modified for harsh environments.

The unit has a 20.5mm diameter with a length of 14.36mm.

A triaxial configuration can be fitted into a 22.5mm tool diameter.

It has an operating temperature of -40 to + 160C (175C Intermittent) and a shock resistance of over 1000G and a vibration tolerance of 30G peak sine 50/500Hz.
