New package offers complete remote drive control
Invertek Drives has announced a complete remote control and PC based drive programming and analysis package for its innovative range of Optidrive AC variable speed drives.
Designed in both 230 and 400V versions up to 1.5kW, the Optidrive Plus 3GV Compact features the full open loop vector performance of the Optidrive Plus 3GV in a much reduced physical package, making it ideal for motor mounting solutions whereby the motors own cooling fan can be used to cool the Optidrive.
The standard Optiport Plus remote keypad can be used to configure the drive, and an onboard infra-red communications interface allows rapid setup and drive cloning using the Optiwand PDA Pocket PC software package.
Concept examples of the drive shown at recent international exhibitions have already attracted major interest from around the world, and with volume production due to begin very shortly, the Optidrive Plus 3GV Compact will provide a means to further expand Invertek's growing presence in the drives market.
