The first issue of the re-launched magazine Industrial Networking and Open Control (INOC) is now available.

The magazine has been dormant for a year while its new owners Magpye Publishing have been busy putting their plans in place, following the demise of the Titchfield, Hampshire based company which previously published the title.

Now edited by highly respected industry journalist and computer integrated manufacturing technology specialist Geoff Lock, INOC is accompanied by a new web site and coming soon will be an annual technology guide and directory, special supplement and reader survey.

Importantly, the title is vendor-neutral and will objectively cover all fieldbus technologies without prejudice and with equal weight.

Any company working in industrial automation on controls, fieldbus, networking, SCADA, operating systems, devices and standards has an equal chance to display its technological achievements.

Right now, industrial networking is one of the most exciting areas of opportunity in the automation and control industries.

The circulation of INOC extends across Western Europe - although this is a global marketplace, much of the world's top design and development comes from Europe.

But of course, INOC will be reporting relevant innovations from all over the world.

In the first issue under the re-launch, there are features on Industrial Ethernet, Safety Fieldbus, DeviceNet Conformance and Fieldbus Selection, as well as industry commentaries from specialists including Richard Piggin (Ethernet), Jon Severn (Safety), Ignace Verhamme (Fieldbus) and Andrew Bond (Process Automation).

Via the web site, readers may register for the title, which is controlled circulation and free to qualifying individuals, who are specifiers and usersof digital networking technology, products and services in the manufacturing and process automation sectors.

Other interested parties may subscribe for ?60 or $100 per annum (six issues plus annual directory and yearbook).

Features Lists are downloadable via the web site.
