Contract puts VOC detectors in RN
submarines
Ion Science has been awarded a contract to supply and provide in-service support for 20 PhoCheck+ 1000 photoionisation detectors for use on Royal Navy Submarines.

VOC gas leaks detected faster than ever
Ion Science Limited have launched the Phocheck 5000EX hand-held ionisation instrument, which can find and monitor leaks of VOC gases even down to 10 ppb levels
This will help to ensure that those serving on the submarines will not be exposed to harmful levels of VOCs.
Commenting on the contract Andrew Walling, Ion Science's European Sales Manager responsible for securing the tender said: "We are very pleased to have been awarded this competitive tender".
"The PhoCheck+ 1000 instruments are ideal for use in occupational hygiene applications such as this".
"Our ability to offer a low cost high specification PID instrument was paramount in Ion Science winning the tender against the competition".
The PhoCheck+ 1000 is Ion Science's low cost intrinsically safe photoionisation detector with a detection range from 0.1 to 4000ppm.
The instrument features Ion Science's patented Fence Electrode technology, for superior humidity performance, and benefits from an inbuilt gas table detailing over 250 gases and their corresponding response factors.
The 1000+ is also fully upgradeable throughout the PhoCheck+ range should detection needs change in the future.
