Staff at Hammersmith hospital now have peace of mind that their valuable samples are being reliably monitored 7 days a week 24 hours a day.

Staff at Hammersmith hospital now have peace of mind that their valuable samples are being reliably monitored 7 days a week 24 hours a day, this is thanks to a GSM-based monitoring system that has been implemented that monitors for temperature rise and power loss (ie freezer being unplugged).

The TextPod system immediately alerts personnel by SMS text message.

This is a user-defined message that can be sent to a number of personnel straight to their mobile phone.

The message can identify the exact time the fault occurred with the freezer in question.

Power loss is also monitored and again a message is sent out alerting personnel, this is thanks to a UPS within the system which allows the TextPod to send out the message even without power.
