ipd has named CPU Automation as its new distributor in New England The Westford, Massachusetts-based company is carrying ipd's entire line of easy-to-use machine vision products for the factory floor, including task-specific Vision Appliances, NetSight general-purpose integrated hardware and software solutions and Sherlock general-purpose machine vision software

"We were searching for a machine vision line that is based on open PC architecture tools like Ethernet communications and browser-based configurations so that we can provide our machine builder and end user customers with extremely powerful, yet easy-to-use, vision solutions", stated Nick Pirog, President, CPU Automation.

"ipd offers innovative, dependable and user-friendly PC-based machine vision solutions-without the attitude found at some vision companies".

"Since CPU Automation also sells computer-based HMI, I/O and motion control solutions for industrial automation, the addition of machine vision to our line is a natural extension for helping with our customers' alignment and inspection requirements", said Pirog.

"CPU Automation's vast experience in helping customers to implement PC-based automation solutions makes them an ideal distributor for our machine vision product line", said Steve Geraghty, Director, ipd.

"We also look forward to leveraging their expertise when developing new vision appliances and other machine vision solutions".
