January 2003 will see the introduction of one of the core services - a series of regular "Ensure safety seminars" to be held at the Omron offices in London and at regional locations outside London.
The focus of the seminars will be on machinery and process engineering safety and specifically on the development of new technologies and associated health and safety standards.
"Major changes in machinery control systems has led to a review of risk assessment methodologies", said Stephen Langley, Managing Director of ISS.
"New standards currently being drafted will look at new approaches to machinery hazards and risk assessment that will need to be considered by companies operating programmable electronic control systems".
Paul Davies, Safety Business Development Manager at Omron said: "The content of the safety seminars will be far ranging covering developments in new safety regulations and where possible, offer a tailored agenda reflecting real life safety applications for those attending the seminars".
