The R and D team at Ericsson in Kista, north of Stockholm, Sweden, has chosen IronCAD Inovate for its development work on the future family of mechanical GSM filters for mobile telephone systems.

Shaun Murphy, VP of Marketing at IronCAD states, "Ericsson is using Inovate exactly as it was meant to be used: provide everyone with access to 3D.

Inovate makes this possible with its ease of use, and its aggressive price.

Collaboration within Ericsson Radio Access and the other CAD systems at Ericsson is simplified due to Inovate's support of multiple kernels which allows native kernel file compatibility".

Mikael Ritscher, Ericsson AB states it this way: "Inovate provides a very cost effective way for us to work in 3D while developing new mechanical GSM filters for mobile phone basestations.

One important reason for our selection of Inovate was its ease-of-use.

When we design in 3D with Inovate, it is easy for us to visualise how the final product will look.

Inovate also provides a smooth way for us to communicate our design concepts directly into other areas of Ericsson AB that use a different high-end system".

Solidmakarna, IronCAD's premier channel partner for that area, will support Ericsson and help it to maximise its investment.
