A new range of academic programmes will provide educators and students from universities, colleges and high schools around the world access to IronCAD's award winning 3D design software.

There are three options.

A faculty R and D licence allows a faculty member to purchase a professional seat of IronCAD at a significant discount for use on any educational related projects (one seat per instructor/faculty member).

A multiuser institutional licence allows an institution to equip a classroom(s) with professional seats of IronCAD for instructional purposes at next to no cost.

Finally, a student product licence allows any currently enrolled student to purchase a fully functional version of IronCAD for his or her own use at a highly discounted price.

IronCAD is fast becoming the tool of choice for educational institutions that want to focus more time on teaching design principles rather than on how to operate one specific CAD system.

Bruce A Harding, Professor of Mechanical Engineering Technology (MET) at Purdue University stated, "IronCAD has become our CAD system of choice because it represents the best mix of power and usability.

Even though we have access to major CAD systems, including Catia, Unigraphics, Pro/Engineer, Solid Edge and Solid Works, IronCAD remains our primary teaching system".

"IronCAD's award winning ease of use has helped establish it as an integral part of design curricula at major universities around the USA as well as internationally", says Shaun Murphy, IronCAD Vice President of Marketing.

He continues: "IronCAD is committed to helping educational institutions worldwide bring the power of 3D into each and every classroom.

This commitment has resulted in a set of programs that enable educators and students alike to easily acquire the 3D tools necessary for that process to take place".
