With an ever-growing presence in Europe and following a 21% growth in European support revenues during 2003, IronCAD has opened a new European sales office based in the UK.

The company has also appointed Richard Serna as its new European Channel Manager.

Based out of IronCAD's new UK office and working closely with the existing channel, Serna will be looking to improve the levels of support that are offered to IronCAD resellers and end users.

Originally from a mechanical engineering design background, Serna has progressed into channel management and has been responsible for the UK Autodesk MCAD channel while working with Datech2000.

He has most recently been responsible for growing the European Sales Channel for MechSoft, significantly increasing quarterly revenues over the last 18 months since joining the company.

Serna will be assuming the European duties of IronCAD's International Director Steve McGuinness who will now focus more of his energies on the new opportunities opening up in Asia.

As part of the ongoing channel development program, Serna will be looking to recruit additional resellers and strategic business partners that are capable of promoting and supporting the IronCAD vision for creative 3D product development.

Serna recently commented: "I have always been impressed by the technology and functionality of the IronCAD product, and I am now extremely enthusiastic about the opportunity to provide the right sales and support infrastructure to allow the product to grow to new levels over the coming years".

Shaun Murphy, IronCAD's Vice President of Sales and Marketing states: "IronCAD is very excited to have Richard join the team.

His proven experience in channel management and his track record of success is just what we need to continue our growth in the EMEA region".

He continues: "The hiring of Richard is just one part of a larger initiative currently underway to expose the worldwide market to the productivity benefits that IronCAD's Freedom Architecture delivers over today's leading systems".
