IronCAD has revealed a major upgrade to the IronCAD Global Educational Software Donation Programme.
IronCAD has revealed a major upgrade to the IronCAD Global Educational Software Donation Programme.
Effective immediately qualifying educational institutions will be eligible for donations of IronCAD classroom site licences with a full year of software upgrades and support for only US $1295 per year.
The installations will use a combination of IronCAD's Network Licence Manager and concurrent user IronCAD licences.
Personal student and teacher licences are also available for just $149.
"At IronCAD we believe educational institutions need to be given design tools that will allow them to spend more time teaching design principles rather than spending most of a semester teaching a student how to run a particular CAD system", says Shaun Murphy, IronCAD's Vice President of Marketing.
"IronCAD products have proven to be the easiest to learn and use and through our expanded educational program we are making it possible for more students and teachers to experience the IronCAD difference".
"We started announcing this programme to select markets in February of this year and in that time period alone we have donated more than $1.5 Million in IronCAD software".
"We have found IronCAD's features extremely useful in teaching in a very interactive way: 2D drafting, 3D concepts for solid and surface modelling, animation and sheet metal", says Dr ACS Kumar, Department Head, Mechanical Engineering at JNTU College of Engineering in Hyderabad, India.
"We have found that the flexibility of IronCAD increases creativity and enables the students to learn design fundamentals faster".
