Automation design process software added to partner programme that aims to bring together companies specialising in CADCAM and CAE products.

Turbotools of San Francisco has released a direct link between its Cablequity product and IronCAD v8.0.

The IronCAD partner programme brings together leading software providers in the CADCAM and CAE industry to help bring products to market faster.

With the addition of Turbotools to the programme, companies can increase their productivity in the automation design process.

IronCAD's ease-of-use and productivity combined with the set of tools from Turbotools makes the integration of the two products powerful and productive in this design process.

Turbotools is focused on the automation design process of highly integrated electronic equipment, mechatronic systems, high-tech instrumentation, process and capital equipment, automotive, aircrafts, ships, power plants and oil drilling platforms.

Cablequity 2006 delivers full system design automation resulting in cost savings in product development, time savings per design and productivity improvements.

The latest version has a host of features including automated generation of all assembly drawings, schematics and bill of materials, pick-and-drag design sketching, full scale nail-board drawing, enhanced schematics and bills of materials, integrated RoHS compliant components database and customisable editing assembly drawings.

"We have been a leader in the automation of design for hardware electrical systems from concept to manufacturing for any kind of electromechanical, electrical or electronic equipment", said Alex Chernyak, Turbotools President and CEO.

"IronCAD's powerful yet easy to use 3D positioning tools made it a natural choice for us to provide integration between electrical and mechanical designs therefore enormously speeding up the entire design process".

Frank Hood, IronCAD's North American Sales Manager, said: "We are thrilled to be able to provide this tool to our user community, especially for the machinery design, recreational vehicle, electromechanical equipment and process equipment markets".

"With this new toolset, our users in these industries can expect to see a huge increase in productivity now and long into the future".

"Together with our partners, IronCAD will continue to deliver productivity tools that empower our customers".
